Perfectly Pink- Meadowood, Napa Valley Wedding

February 09, 2012 Posted by - Mary Lois and Anna

With Valentines day drawing near, I wanted to share this perfectly pretty, pink wedding. This color palette along with the brides stunning lace gown couldn't be more romantic, soft, and feminine. We were thrilled with these images taken by the amazingly talented photographer, Lisa Lefkowitz, and to be a part of such a beautiful day.

Living Succulent Centerpieces- Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club

January 18, 2012 Posted by - Mary Lois and Anna

I wanted to share a few more images from our October wedding at the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club.  There were just so many sweet details about this wedding, it couldn't be contained to one post.

This bride wanted to combine all types of living succulents (that could be taken home by guests and later re-potted) with lush, romantic flowers. Such a dreamy combination, and environmentally friendly solution!

Upon booking this job last May we got to work potting up several pots of echevaria in our own backyard. Over the course of months we propagated many new blooms, all of which made it to the wedding in October. The roots on the plants were kept intact when designing these lovely centerpieces to make the adjustment back into soil as easy on the plant as possible.

We recently heard from the bride and many of these succulents are happily living on after their cameo appearance at the wedding- some in her apartment in San Francisco, and others with guests who live all over California, from Camarillo to Sacramento to Sea Ranch.

Beaulieu Garden - Majestically Beautiful Wedding Venue

September 27, 2009 Posted by - Mary Lois and Anna
This wedding at Beaulieu Garden in Napa is our new favorite. Loop just installed this wedding yesterday, and is was such a delight to be on this majestic and gloriously beautiful property.

I love this palette. Usually if a bride says she looking at a palette in red and yellow, it can sound a little circusy. But you add in a slate gray and the palette becomes more stylish and sophisticated. We made the floral palette work by using three colors of red, most importantly working with a medium red and an almost black dahlia and mixing it with only buttery yellows. Eliminating green foliage and using plum branches as a foliage made the palette rich and luxurious.

I had the lovely team Yami and Luis working with me yesterday, and as Luis and I returned from the ceremony site, Yami bounded up and declared that the tables looked AMAZING. When Luis and I turned the corner and saw the tables all set with the flowers, we both said, at the same time, "I just got goosebumps". I don't feel the pictures do it justice, is was that pretty. I mean, it made a DUDE say "I just got goosebumps".

I think this palette for a September wedding was such a delicious take on Autumn: light and lux and luxurious.

Hopefully I have more images to share soon.

Old World Charm - San Francisco Wedding

September 24, 2009 Posted by - Mary Lois and Anna
The Olympic Club in San Francisco is an historic club with an old world feel. To mesh well with the venue, we borrowed mixed vintage silver pieces and old books from brides mother to create the centerpieces. The woodsy, lush, and elegant design fit well with where the club is situated on the coast.

I loved these. I'm lucky to love what I do. It seems like every wedding, I think THESE are my favorite. And this was no exception.

We enjoyed working with this client as well as Jennie from MAP events.
