Groovy Favor Idea

August 14, 2009 Posted by - Mary Lois

Here's a fun idea for your favors. This site allows you to make custom bags at an affordable price. I've never ordered anything from them, so I can't speak to the quality of the products, but what a great idea, huh?!

You can create a design that has some of the graphics and colors from your wedding day with whatever fun text you want to add. This gift is one that everyone can use. Grocery shopping. Beachy things. Gym stuff. I mean really.....who doesn't use a tote bag? Only crazy people don't use tote bags. And you're not going to have crazy people at your wedding. Hence the perfect gift, AND it promotes using a cloth bag to grocery shop.

You can add text as well, I just couldn't figure out how to get it on the demo I made here. If you do this, let me know; I'd love to see the results.

DIY - Favor Packaging

August 08, 2009 Posted by - Mary Lois
Favor packaging can have more of an impact than you think. Especially, if you place your favors on the dining tables. Sometimes the favor can double as a place card, which could be a fun option here. You'd have to experiment, but it looks like you could score the flower on top of the box and prop a place card in it. But really they're cute on their own.

You can go to Wedlog and get the template and instructions. Woot. Yes, I said woot.

Yes You Can - Rustic Containers

August 06, 2009 Posted by - Mary Lois

Sorry, I couldn't help myself with the little can pun.

Here are more options for a rustic theme. I'm very fond of the bark wrap. And tin cans are a fun and affordable option for the right setting. You can dress them up with ribbons, bark, strips of fabric, or use them plain.
And, you can easily do all these YOURSELF. If, you're so inclined.

DIY - We Love Those Crafty Brides

June 17, 2009 Posted by - Mary Lois
For a wedding we have coming up, we're working with a crafty bride, as in handy and good at crafts, not as in, she has deceitful or underhanded methods. So...check out these table numbers! Of course I love the color scheme, as these are the same colors as Loop's logo, and All a Twitterness, She took paper ovals from Paper Source and used stencils to cut out the numbers and mounted them on wood. And! how cute is that little stand.
I'm looking forward to the photographs from this wedding. It's going to be stylin.

Beads + Chicken Wire = Magic

I plucked this page from a magazine years ago. I've not yet tried my hand at these super cute little beaded numbers, but it looks super easy, and such a great idea to make a table fantastic.
